Dear St. Patrick’s School family,
I would like to welcome students, and parents, returning and new to St. Patrick’s School. The mission of St. Patrick’s is to educate the whole child within the framework of the gospel values and Catholic traditions in order to develop responsible citizens of the world. We strive to prepare students to live and learn in an ever-changing world.
We welcome three new teachers to our St. Patrick’s school family, Ms. Emily Terpening our Third-grade teacher, and Mrs. Mary Catherine Atchison, our Fourth-grade teacher. Mr. John Riley is our physical education teacher. We also have two new teacher’s aides. Mrs. Tammy Sapp and Mrs. Andrea Cunningham will be assisting our kindergarten and Pre-K programs.
In addition to her duties as our First-grade teacher, Mrs. Moody has been appointed our Curriculum and Instruction director. She has developed our One Forward Standards and will be assisting the teachers when they administer the NWEA MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) Test so that our students will continue to score in the upper percentile.
Our Opening Day Mass and Open house will be on Monday, August 22 beginning at 5:30 p.m. All parents and students are required to attend. After Mass, we will make our way to the school gym for refreshments and an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher. Also, parents will pick up students’ paperwork to be completed and returned to their teacher. August 23 will be the first full day of instruction for Preschool, Pre-K, K-8th grade students. Early drop-off is at 7 am, and dismissal is at 2:45 pm. GAP begins at 3 pm and ends at 5:30 pm.
Record of updated Immunizations for 7th graders and Kindergartens are needed by August 24, 2022.
The excitement of a new school is in the air as the staff and I look forward to welcoming the students back to St. Patrick School.
