Happy last week of school! We have finally made it!

Here is this week’s schedule!

(One was sent home last week)

Your child needs to attend this week. If they do not show up, those absences will count against them. This is intended to be a fun and exciting week! Let’s end the year strong!

Monday – Movie Monday (and possible field trip to the War Museum and the Ice Cream Barn- may move to Wednesday depending on activities and weather)

Tuesday – Field Day at TALA. We will have Class Mass at 8:10 am and will leave from the school once we are finished. Students are encouraged to bring plenty of water, an old blanket to sit on, and to dress down. HSA is providing a pepperoni roll lunch. Bring a disposable bag lunch if that does not suit your child. Field Day activities will take place from 9 am – 2:00 pm in the front lawn of Trans-Allegheny. If the weather turns nasty, we will hold the event in the gymnasium. Grades are also due today! Report cards will be sent home another day this week.

Wednesday – Normal day of school.

Thursday – Talent Show at 1 pm in the gymnasium. All secondary students who are participating must practice and bring music/props to school before then!

Friday (Last Day) – Pool party and Picnic at 10:00 at the LC Pool! DO NOT REPORT TO SCHOOL. All students must report to the pool from 10-2:30. HSA will provide lunch.

See Below for Closing Class Announcements!

Reading/Language Arts:

AR Points are due THIS WEEK. You must have 14 to get a 100%.

We will be finishing our Civil War mini lesson on Monday! We will learn about major battles, speeches, and the result of the war. We will also be discussing the after effects (reconstruction) and how our country was affected – even today!
We will be holding a mock 1860 election, reading the Gettysburg Address, and more to close out our school year!
On Wednesday, we will be looking at the states through an interactive website.

Any questions, please let me know. Email me at any time!

Love and Blessings,

      Ms. Bush

Math: Mr. Warn will now be teaching math on Wednesday and Thursday from 9-10 am. Do not forget your packets and worksheets!

I pray this last week is fun and exciting for you. There will be a few tears, several hugs, and goodbye wishes. I am sad to see my amazing 8th graders go, but I have a wonderful feeling that only good things will come your way! I will miss all of you terribly. It has been an honor and a blessing to have been your teacher. :-)
