Mrs. Susan Moody

Mrs. Susan Moody has been a part of our St. Patrick School family for almost 20 years: 2 years as a Pre-K aide, 4 years as a 5th grade teacher, and 14 years in first grade! She currently lives in Weston with her husband, Dan, and their two cats, Lewis and Clark.  They are parents to Amber, Megan, Sarah and JD.  They also have 4 grandchildren: Audrey, London, Jackson, and Annabeth. Susan graduated from LCHS in 1981, then attended WVWC where she received an Associate Degree in Business.  It wasn’t until after her time as an aide at St. Patrick’s that she decided to go back to school for her teaching degree. She went on to attend Glenville State College where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education K-Adult graduating in May of 2007.  While at Glenville, she was part of Kappa Delta Pi (Honor Society in Education). Her hobbies include spending time with family, traveling, biking, hiking, kayaking, and reading. However, she absolutely loves teaching 1st grade. Her favorite part of first grade is when all the letter sounds become words and all the words become sentences and before you know it, they are reading and comprehending what they are reading!  A Saint she has always admired is Mother Teresa for the work she did with those who were sick, homeless, orphaned, and dying. Mrs. Moody is so thankful to be a part of St. Patrick School because here, we are family, and that’s what makes us special!
