We are a short three weeks away from Thanksgiving Break and all of the delicious entrées that come with it.
This week, we will be diving into new lessons and stories as we continue through the curriculum.
We will also complete Quarter 2 STAR reading and math tests.

7th Grade: Chapter 2 Lesson 1 Percentages. Monday: IXL skill practice (A.1, A.2, A.3, L.1 93% or higher) ; Tuesday: Lesson 1 Percent intro – Example Problems, Real World Link, Guided Practice in class. 8th Grade: Chapter 2 Lesson 1 Solving Equations with Rational Coefficients. 7th Grade WORLD HISTORY: Monday, we will finish our sarcophagus projects. Tuesday-Friday: we will read and discuss Chapter 3 in our textbooks on Israel. Students will spend Tuesday and Thursday reading assigned pages and completing the corresponding workbook pages (14-15, 16-18. Wednesday and Friday, we will go over what they learned in their book and discuss the correct answers to their workbook questions and graphic organizers.
8th Grade WV HISTORY: In chapter one, we learned about the responsibilities of a citizen, as well as key offices, branches, and members of the WV government officials. In chapter two this week, we will be learning about what shapes American government. From the constitution, The Great Compromise, ratification, and West Virginia immigration. We will complete corresponding worksheets, document analysis, and activities with this lesson. Students will also practice identifying and placing the 55 WV counties correctly.

Enrichment Schedule: Monday and Wednesday gym, Tuesday and Thursday art, Friday music (prepping for the Christmas play)
MONDAY: FORMAL UNIFORM and All Saints Day mass.
WEDNESDAY: Bishop visit to the school. All school Mass and regular uniform.

**We will be reading The Hunger Games soon. A novel purchase will be necessary to complete this unit. Digital or physical copies accepted.
