Welcome to our kindergarten news page! Here you can find out what is happening in our classroom and school.

Math-This week in math we will continue working on counting by 1’s, 5’s, 10’s to 100 and beyond. We will also continue working on addition up to 10.

Reading-This week we will be reading stories about Holy Week and Easter. We will continue working on sight words. They are is, I, my, like, and, we, it, am, to, a, see, can, the, me, white, green, red, yellow, gray, purple, orange, blue, pink, black, brown, Jesus, God, mom, dad, brother, sister, she, with, he, want, for, one, two, three, four, five, are, here, you, want, with, away, little, and where. These words should be practiced at home daily.

Phonics-We will continue our phonics review, especially working with beginning, middle, and ending sounds. We will use these skills to work on sounding out unknown words.

Handwriting– We will continue working on neatly writing our names on lined paper. We will also continue working on correctly writing numbers 0-20 and our letters. We’re focusing on making sure students start at the top with most letters and numbers and also make sure tall letters are tall.

Looking ahead:

We will have Stations of the Cross ever Thursday afternoon during Lent.

March 28-April 7th-This is our Easter break. Enjoy the holiday and time with your loved ones!
