Important Reminders

  • Tuition Assistance paperwork is due by August 15, 2018.  We recommend submitting the paperwork at least two weeks before the deadline.
  • 7th Graders need immunizations for the upcoming school year.  Be sure to check here for details.
  • Our Schwans campaign ID is #39831 until October 17, 2018 (for 20% profit) and 5% from October 18, 2018 thru January 17, 2019. To order go to www.schwans-cares.com/c/39831 (click "Shop to Give) or by phone (855) 870-7208.
  • We collect Box Tops for Education.  Please send your Box Tops to the office to help our school receive FREE equipment (i.e., gym equipment, cameras, etc.).

Parent Reach Notifications

We use the Parent Reach notification system to inform you of import events or information including:

  • 2-hour delays
  • Cancellations
  • Emergencies

Please contact the school for information about adding or changing your phone number for Parent Reach.

You can also watch WTOV-TV 9 for any school delays or cancellations. We do not always follow Hancock County Schools please look for St. Joseph School.

Lunch vouchers must be presented at the time of use.

Please use an envelope to send lunch money for the week.

Mark the outside of the envelope according to the guide at the right.

Lunch money for multiple children may be sent in one envelope.

Drop Off / Pick Up

Students may be dropped off as early as 7:00 am during the week and they may enter through the front and back entrances. If students are dropped off prior to 7:30 am they must remain in the cafeteria until they are taken to their homerooms. Students dropped off after 7:50 am must enter through the main entrance and be accompanied by an adult and signed into school.

Students being picked up from school at the end of they day will exit out the cafeteria doors. You must be in a car with the correct student number for you to take your student from school. Please follow last years pick up procedures. If you are new to the school please contact the school office.

Students that walk must leave through the gym entrance, any person meeting students to walk home must also meet them at the gym entrance.

Students with early dismissals MUST be signed out and exit through the main entrance.

Absentee, Late Arrival, or Early Dismissal

If your child is ill and needs to miss school:

  • Please call the office before 9:00am.
  • Please indicate your child's symptoms (needed for county report)

If your child is late coming to school or has an early dismissal, please sign your child in and/or out in the office.

If your child comes back from an early dismissal, please sign them back in (or they could be marked a half day or a full day absent).
